Christine Girven is a woman from Holby. She was severely injured in the 2007 Hesketh Road bombing.

On 8 September 2007, Christine was left critically injured and trapped in a partially collapsed shop on Hesketh Road after a concealed bomb detonated on a nearby coach. In order to free her, her son Matt agreed to have his arm amputated. (CAS: "My First Day") However, once she arrived at Holby City Hospital's emergency department, she began to deteriorate. Registrar Maggie Coldwell believed that she was tamponading and performed pericardiocentesis on her to aspirate the fluid around her heart. Christine subsequently arrested due to a cardiac tear, and cardiothoracic consultant Connie Beauchamp agreed to perform an anterolateral thoracotomy on her. She failed to produce an output, and Connie proposed stopping, but Maggie insisted on continuing resuscitation. Miraculously, Christine's heart started to beat again, and she was promptly transferred to Darwin. (CAS: "Charlie's Anniversary")
