"Clinical nurse manager" redirects here.

The clinical nurse manager is the person in charge of the nursing staff in the emergency department of Holby General Hospital.

Tess Bateman served as the department's clinical nurse manager for around 10 years, and only gave up the position briefly to Linda Andrews in 2011 before taking it back over. She resigned from the position in 2015 and was succeeded by Rita Freeman before her resignation in August 2016.

In late August[1] Jacob Masters was offered the position and became the acting clinical nurse manager. He was given the permanent position the following month. In April of 2018 Jacob Masters resigned from the position to focus on his family after recently finding out he had a son named Blake.

Charlie Fairhead served as acting clinical nurse manager from 2018 to 2020 and eventually was given back to Jacob Masters. Later in 2022, the role of acting clinical nurse manager was given to David Hide from mid-2022 until early-2023 then once again given back to Jacob Masters for a short period before resigning from the role permanently.

On 25 March 2023, the role of clinical nurse manager was given to Donna Jackson following her move to the emergency department. This role lasted until September of that year when Donna faces 12 months in prison for causing a road accident.
