Pumped up after his success in [[resus]] the previous week, [[Rashid Masum|Rash]] treats a violent prisoner named Jack who has been stabbed in the thigh. After provoking him and getting kneed in the face, Rash asks [[Dylan Keogh|Dylan]] to take over. [[Gem Dean|Gem]] believes that Jack has been abused by the prison guard that was also injured, but the guard claims that he was trying to stop Jack from harming himself.
Rash treats a prisoner admitted after being stabbed in the thigh. He aggravates the prisoner and is kneed in the face; Dylan takes over the prisoner's treatment, but when Gemma is taken hostage by the prisoner, who bundles her in a car and goes to drive away, Rash jumps on the bonnet of the car. The car is stopped and Rash tells the prisoner he knows why he planned to run off − to go and see his dying relative. Rash cleans Gemma up in cubicles, where they begin to get to know each other. As Gemma prepares to go home, she tells Rash she thinks he is cool. He is thrilled by her remark. Bea goes up against F1 Eddie for the coveted trauma course. During an operation, Eddie asks Bea to take over as his contact lens is giving him grief. Bea does, but a drill bit chips and goes into the patient. When Bea and Eddie go out for a meal in the evening with Ms Broadhurst, the leader of the course, Bea covers for Eddie about the operation events. Rash catches up with them as Jack tries to drive to the hospice and jumps onto the car's bonnet. When the car stops, Rash tries to deescalate the situation and tells Jack that his uncle has died. Devastated, Jack lets Gem go and is apprehended by police. Later, Rash cleans Gem up in cubicles, and he is thrilled when she tells him that he impressed her.

She is forced to work with fellow [[junior doctor|F1]] [[Eddie McAllister|Eddie]] to treat a patient with a bullet from the Falklands War embedded inside him. While operating, Eddie asks Bea to take over due to one of his contact lenses giving him grief. As Bea drills the final screw of the plate in, the drill bit chips on something, but Eddie suggests leaving it be as the damage appears to be superficial.

Synopsis
