Alicia struggles to contain her emotions following her night with Eddie and snaps at Bea and Ethan after they show concern about her wellbeing. Leigh-Anne arrives at the ED with Kiegan, fearing that he has meningitis. However, when Alicia tells her that it is just a typical infection, she interprets the fast diagnosis as Ethan wanting her out of the hospital and decides to lodge a formal complaint against him. Later, Alicia convinces her not to report Ethan and promises to get her more support. In the peace garden, Alicia is left horrified as Ethan confesses his involvement in Scott Ellisson's death.

Meanwhile, Connie returns to find a new goldfish in her tank and immediately realises that someone has killed Mrs B. Elle suggests waiting for the culprits to reveal themselves. Rash, Noel and Gem begin to cave under the pressure and accidentally expose themselves, and she teaches them the importance of transparency. Shortly after, Connie is delighted to learn that she has secured funding for the trauma theatre and asks Elle if she wants to go out for a drink to celebrate.

At the ambulance station, Jacob arrives to spend the day as an observer, and begins to grow closer to Sam. However, Blake later appears at the station and tries to kiss her. Meanwhile, Robyn asks for more overtime so she can afford to pay her parking fines.
