Synopsis[]

On his wedding day, Ethan is keen to obtain test results that could decide his future, but Fenisha urges him to worry about them later and focus on enjoying their wedding. After Ethan helps to prepare the venue and meets the guests, Charlie suggests that he say hello to Cal. Talking to Cal's grave, Ethan regrets that Fenisha will eventually be stuck with him once his Huntington's disease leaves him totally disabled and decides that she needs to know what she will be up against. Ethan calls his consultant and waits to have a meeting about his test results.

Hours before Rash is due to serve as Ethan's best man, Ollie Hide is taken into the ED after allegedly suffering a seizure, and David demands that Dylan treat his son instead. Dylan is concerned that Ollie may be self-harming wants him to undergo a mental health assessment, but David overhears and refuses to accept Dylan's suggestions. However, when Ollie experiences another seizure, Dylan decides to order an MRI which reveals a Chiari 1 malformation, where the back of Ollie's brain is extending into the spinal cord and obstructing the flow of fluid. Despite the diagnosis, Dylan still thinks a mental health assessment would be a good idea, but David believes that the malformation explains everything and that everything will go back to normal once Ollie undergoes surgery.

Matthew quickly begins to tire of the constant discussion of Fenisha and Ethan's wedding and treats Liza — a mature university student who is suffering from stomach pains which turns out to be from a perforated bowel. Liza feels embarrassed about her condition and wants her young boyfriend Jimmy to leave, but Jimmy cares deeply for Liza and waits for her in reception. When Liza's sepsis worsens, Matthew urges her to forget what others may think of her and Jimmy's relationship, and Liza allows Jimmy in. Feeling inspired by Liza and Jimmy's situation, Matthew decides to make a romantic gesture to Fenisha to try and win her back. When Fenisha fails to find a taxi that could get her to the church in time, Matthew steps up and offers her a ride.

Anton has been staying at Lev and Faith's house for a week, constantly shouting at the children, and Faith's patience is wearing thin. After notcing Lev and Faith's lack of intimacy, Anton encourages Lev to move back to Russia with the children. However, when Anton lectures Luka after catching him playing in a dress, Lev finally decides that enough is enough. Lev tells Anton that he is gay and promises that he will not allow him to instill his bigotry into his children. Furious, Anton brands Lev a "pervert" and proclaims that he is dead to him. After Anton leaves, Lev tells Faith that he will be going to the police station with Xander. Before departing for the station, Xander tells Lev that this will not change things between the two of them. However, afterwards, Xander changes his mind, and the two arrange to meet up the next day. Lev is delighted, but his joy soon turns to horror when he witnesses Matthew's car — carrying him and Fenisha — crashes onto a set of railway tracks. Lev rushes to their aid, but a train approaches.
