- This episode was the first episode of Casualty to be broadcast in widescreen. In 1998, the BBC was preparing to begin transmitting their channels digitally which would give viewers the option to watch certain programmes in 16:9. As an experiment, on the evening of 28 February, four programmes — Jim Davidson's Generation Game, Noel's House Party, National Lottery Draw and Casualty — were transmitted on the BBC's analogue service in 14:9; this aspect ratio was chosen as a compromise between the then-standard 4:3 aspect ratio and 16:9.
