A vulnerable Teddy is horrified when confronted with an unwelcome visitor. He and Jan are called out to an incident at a pub, where an injured man accused of drug dealing is trying to fight off an angry mob with a broken bottle. Nicole is determined to prove herself to Stevie, while Rash reflects on having lost his positive attitude while in a therapy session.
Jacob visits Danielle in prison, who declares she wants to keep Carter. When he is called out to a fire in a block of flats, the experience forces him to reflect on where he stands. Rash forgoes help when a familiar face turns up at the ED, Patrick has to pick up the pieces following a documentary about the department, leaving Siobhan to cover running things while he is busy.

A wounded Dom feels more left out than ever after learning Josh and Ange have closed him out of their family crises, while Donna and Hanssen rally around Lexy after bad news, but she is determined to seize the day.
