James "Jimmy" McKiernan (born 11 May 1979) is a male resident of Holby.
Biography
At some point, James fell off a ladder and broke his neck whilst building a music studio for him and his son Aaron to jam in. This left him tetraplegic, and his wife Maggie was left as his carer.
On 11 May 2019, on James' 40th birthday, he began to seize, and Aaron unsuccessfully tried to stop him from rolling off his bed. Maggie heard the commotion, and, horrified, she blamed Aaron for what had happened. James was taken to Holby City Hospital's emergency department with a broken hip, and Maggie was left devastated when the anaesthetists believed that his chest infection made him too ill to be operated on.
