Julie Barry is a woman who resides in Holby.
Biography
Julie grew up in care, and, at the age of 15, she met a man who manipulated her. This led her to become addicted to opiates and illegal drugs, and he also physically abused her. Julie had two children with him, and they were subsequently taken into care. At some point, she started self-harming.
In April 2019, Julie and her lawyer Mina Bartram arrived late to a hearing at Edwalton Courthouse, and Mina explained to the judge that Julie was ready to fight for custody of her children. However, the courts decided to issue a temporary care order to her children's foster parents as Mina had given her intern Shona Collins the wrong notes. (CAS: Series 33, Episode 32)
