When Duffy reports Ryan missing, the police confront her with quesions about his past that she is unable to answer and she realises that she knows worryingly little about him. Her day get worse when she discovers that Ryan has cleaned out their joint account and that she is now seriously in debt.

When Charlie discovers that Jack will not be coming into work he immediately replaces him on reception.. Enter Bex, a sassy, no- nonsense blonde with attitude. She breezes in and promptly puts her foot in it by ridiculing Jack infront of his brother Tony and girlfriend Nikki.

Dillon and Colette are both up for Duffys old job but when Colette is given the promotion, Dillon finds it hard to have to answer to her. When he goes a step to far Charlie is forced to warn him to stop undermining Colettes authority.

Simon is struggling to come to terms with Jane’s revelation but it is clear that he cares deeply for her and he resolves to learn to turn a blind eye. Meanwhile, Tony and Ben decide that their night together was more than a one-night stand and they end up kissing in the staff room.

"Love Hurts" is the 382nd episode of Casualty and the 22nd episode of the 17th series.

Synopsis

When Duffy reports Ryan missing, the police confront her with quesions about his past that she is unable to answer and she realises that she knows worryingly little about him. Her day get worse when she discovers that Ryan has cleaned out their joint account and that she is now seriously in debt.
