Roy Ellisson (born 1963/1964)[1] is the leader of the far-right organisation which became under attack in September 2015.[2]

In September 2015 during one of their meetings, a Muslim extremist entered and threw a container of acid onto the table, injuring the members. Roy was admitted to the ED, but soon became in danger once again when a terrorist took control of reception. Everyone was evacuated, but Roy was trapped in resus with a few of the staff. Eventually Alicia was able to perform a minor procedure successfully and Roy was saved.[2]

In April 2017, Roy was admitted to the ED once again when he was involved in a fight at a local pub. His son Mickey accompanied him to the ED, having sustained a head wound himself. It soon transpired that Mickey knew the attacker, and that he had actually kissed him at a club. He was threatening to reveal his sexuality to Roy, aiming to break the family apart. Although he later understood that Mickey wasn't like his father, Roy was angry with Mickey and disowned him from the family.[1]

Behind the scenes

John Killoran initially portrayed Roy for one episode in 2015. He reprised his role in 2017 for two episodes, however his appearance in "Reap the Whirlwind - Part Two" is uncredited, and he also dies in the episode.
