Thomas "Tom" Kent (born 15 June 1983) is a paediatric emergency medicine registrar who worked in the emergency department of Holby City Hospital from 2012 to 2013. He joined the department in January 2012 after completing a six month rotation with the Helicopter Emergency Medical Service.

Tom is the ED’s specialist paediatric doctor – a job he excels at as he knows how to talk to children and always takes time out to interact with them. He takes his responsibility to his patients very seriously and will always go the extra mile for them. However, this responsibility and maturity doesn’t always spill over into his private life – he hates talking about his personal affairs and is something of a playboy.

Tom Facts

  • Tom made a spectacular entrance to the ED – arriving as part of an air ambulance crew.
  • Despite this, Tom is actually terrified of flying!
