"Wild Horses" was the seventh episode of Series 26, and the 788th episode of Casualty overall. The episode sees the departure of paramedics Omar Nasri and Tamzin Bayle. It also featured the first ever appearance of ambulance dispatch operator Louise Tyler, who later went on to join the ED as a receptionist at the beginning of series 27, taking up a role of a series regular.

Synopsis[]

Recovering drug addict Chole Trent is in a critical condition following her beating from a dealer, and Annie McLean waits desperately at her side. Linda blames Jordan for closing the drugs programme which would have kept them both safe. She's forced to take desperate measures as Annie's withdrawal symptoms and grief threaten to overwhelm her.

Fed up with her bickering colleagues, Dixie pairs up Omar and Jeff for the day. Omar is peeved but he soon learns that sometimes putting the patient before targets pays off.
