Lord William "Will" Curtis-Harding (died 29 March 2005) was a registrar in cardiothoracic surgery who worked on Holby City Hospital's Darwin Ward from 2004 until his death in 2005.

Biography

Working with Connie Beauchamp

On 1 June 2004, consultant Connie Beauchamp began working on Darwin. She and Will treated a woman with end-stage congestive heart failure named Pat who was desperate for a life extension. Will believed that there was nothing the hospital could do for her beyond palliative care, but Connie proposed performing a Batista — an experimental and high-risk procedure. Will disagreed with Connie's judgement and voiced his concerns to Ric Griffin, but Connie went ahead with the procedure nonetheless. In theatre, Connie managed to resect the left ventricle, but Will began to challenge her when complications arose as Pat came off bypass. However, Pat soon stabilised, and Connie ordered Will to leave theatre; later that day, she decided to give Will another chance and put their disagreements behind her. (HC: "In at the Deep End")
