The father of Zinedin Khalif was critically injured in the 2019 Holby Market attack while attempting to stop the perpetrator.
Biography[]
On 17 August 2019, while Zinedin and his father were visiting Holby Market, a terrorist drove a lorry into the building. Zinedin's father climbed onto the vehicle to take control of it, but he was unsuccessful and sustained serious injuries. Upon being found, he was rushed to Holby City Hospital's emergency department and later stabilised. Although it was initially believed that he was the perpetrator, Zinedin told an interpreter about the reality of his father's actions, and he was allowed to visit him. (CAS: Episode 1139)
